Why we built these
Pricing is usually vague
Most bathroom quotes stay hidden until you are already in a sales conversation. Our estimator uses the same figures we quote in the showroom.
Ordering short is expensive
Tile batches vary in shade, so a later top-up may not match what is already on the wall. Getting the quantity right first time matters.
Undersized heating is common
Most people choose a towel rail on looks alone, then find the room is cold — usually after it has been tiled and plumbed in.
Common questions
Yes, all of them, with no account needed. Everything is worked out in your browser — nothing is sent to us unless you choose to download a report and give us your email.
They are planning estimates, and good enough to budget and shop with. The tile and BTU calculators use established formulas, so the arithmetic is sound. What they cannot see is your actual room — whether the walls are square, where the soil pipe runs, or how your heating system performs. That is what a survey is for.
No. They are genuinely useful whether you buy from us or not. We built them because most people planning a bathroom are working blind on cost and quantities, and that leads to expensive mistakes.
Yes, and we would encourage it. Bring your report to our Harpenden showroom and we will check the quantities against your measurements, match tile batches, and talk through anything the calculator cannot judge. The visit is free with no obligation.
We supply, and our sister company East & Gray handles installation from a single tiling job through to a full bathroom. That means one supplier, one fitting team, and one person to call if something is not right.
The budget estimator, if you are early on and want to know what is realistic. The tile and BTU calculators are more useful once you have a design in mind and are working out what to order.
